Clyde Eugene Arnold

Clyde Eugene Arnold, 79, of Ruckersville, VA died on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Hospice House in Charlottesville. He was born on February 20, 1933 in Rapidan, VA to the late James Henry and Lena King Arnold.

Mr. Arnold was a United States Army veteran serving our country in the 2nd Battalion during the Korean War. He had a soft spot for animals, a passion for sports, especially baseball, and enjoyed listening to country music while using his talented voice to sing along. Above all Mr. Arnold was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed dearly by all he knew.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Ruby Arnold, his two children, Anita Riddle and her husband, Gregory Dewey of Hadensville and Gary Arnold and his wife, Tommye of Charlottesville and his two grandsons, Stephen “Brad” Arnold and Wesley “Dalton” Arnold.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Holly Memorial Gardens with Rev. Josh Shifflett officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Arnold’s name to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 672 Peter Jefferson Pkwy, Suite 300 Charlottesville, VA 22911.
